Bowens, a product of Pike High School and a transfer from the University of Albany, garnered several awards throughout her four-year career with the Red Devils. The 6-1 outside hitter was named to the all-county and all-conference first teams and received the Gatorade 'Will To Win' Award. She holds school records in single season kills, aces and digs and was a standout on her school's track team as well. Bowens also excelled academically, as she was cited on the school's honor roll for four straight years and was a member of the 3.0 club.
